In this day and age, nearly everyone has realized how important it is to wash your face in some form or fashion. But when you think about your makeup, sunscreen, and other products that come into contact with your face, how clean is your skin really getting from that foaming cleanser on your counter? It turns out, not that clean. Evidence suggests that a cleanser and water isn’t enough to remove sunscreens, makeup, and other particles that build up on our skin over the day. Enter, double cleansing. Double cleansing starts with using an oil or balm cleanser to remove the daily layer of product on your face, and then follows up with a traditional foam cleanser to deep clean the skin and prepare for moisturizer.
